1. What is a premix in Manufacturing Plan when adding Manufacturing Order?

    If premix is checked, it will create several MO (if it is multilevel BoM), if not it will only create one MO for the last product


2. What is the function of Inventory Revaluation Manufacturing?

    To update the real cost, because the cost in the manufacturing order is the forecast cost


3. What is the reference's function? Below routing in Bill of Material

    To identify the name of the product, can be used as a nickname or initial of the product


4. Does the forecasted cost automatically convert become our product COGS after we finish the production?

   Yes, it will generate forecasted COGS automatically


5. Why we should input forecast time & material cost manually?

    It is only if you choose forecast cost type per BoM


6. Can we generate the batch number after the production?

    Yes, it will generate automatically if we already set tracking by Lot/Serial Number in Product


7. What if we forgot to set the last product in the work center sequence?

    The system will automatically detect the last work order as the last product


8. If we create a new DB then what the first thing need to set up? BoM or routing or work center?

    We can use the BoM Creation Wizard to make it easier. Otherwise, you can start by creating :

    BoM > routing > work center > completing the BoM


9. Where we should put waste products?

    Just fill in the lost good quantity on material consumption and also set up the lost good location on the work center


10. If we want to produce 100 finished goods but unfortunately there are 20 failed/loss productions. What should we do to reproduce those 20 finished goods?

    If we already used all those materials for 100 finished goods in productions, then we should create another production because the materials are not available. Otherwise, you can do re-transfer stock and continue production on the same MO


11. Does the system support print out the lot production history each process/lot number?

       Right now the system does not support the printout but you can see the detail in traceability in each lot/serial number


12. Is it possible for a single product to have more than 1 BoM ?

      One product variant can have multilevel BoM, but no more than one BoM. If you have two different materials for one product variant then you can create another variant for that product, so you can have different BoM. This BoM will affect to COGS


13. When we have SO from 100 finished goods but don't have material enough, is MP also calculate time to purchase or just from production?

      Right now the system only calculates time starting from production. System don't count duration from purchase, it's only calculated from production duration


14. In some manufacturing process, in the work center we must input the setup of that machine (pressure, temperature, etc) daily/shift/hourly. How does it work in our system?

      Right now we don't have that in our system. We only have efficiency factor, capacity and time durations


15. Finished goods will go to the destination location that we already set in the work center. Then what is the function of stock location in MO?

      It's odoo base, and this stock location will autofill from a location on work center so no need to edit it


16. How do we compute labor costs?

      Labor cost will take calculation from hr > contracts > rate per hour


17. If a company have 4 Factory and 3 office in 1 location and in the Factory there are 2 warehouses, but they just want to change the electricity policy (Overhead Material). How we can efficiently change the Overhead Policy that will affect the COGS?

      Have to change one by one on the work center setting and change directly cost of the overhead product


18. If one step operation needs to put 2 or 3 for preparation product so there's a cost in that operation, can we calculate in one operation?

      No, BoM will calculate the total of all operations


19. If I was planning to produce 100 cupboards, after the end of the day it's finished 50 items and the rest items will be continued by tomorrow. But I want to use the 50 items without waiting 100 cupboards completed. How does it work?

      Don't worry, you don’t need to wait, just done and approve work order for 50 items then tomorrow you can continue production


20. Why from the Sales Order screen there isn't any button/smart button to link up to MO created? Is there another function or it is just not set up?

     No direct link from SO to MO


21. If the first process is in our work center then the second process goes to the subcontractor then the last process goes back to our machine. How we can calculate the cost of the subcontractor to create our finished goods?

     For materials cost just set up on BoM as usual and for adding service cost of that subcontractor just click the button "create purchase order" then fill up the service cost on it
